In the 3rd century CE, the area came under the control of the Sassanid Empire which lasted until the 7th century, when the Umayyad Caliphate took control and introduced Islam in the area. The area was sustained by fishing and pearl diving for a thousand years, with the first records of the town being made in 1799 when the Bani Yas clan established it as a dependency of Abu Dhabi.

Dubai became a separate Sheikhdom in 1833, when the Al-Maktoum dynasty of the Bani Yas clan (initially from Abu Dhabi) took it over peacefully. The invention of artificial pearls in 1926 and the Great Depression in 1929 caused a collapse in the international pearl market, which resulted in Sheikh Saeed looking for an alternative source of income and Dubai becoming one of the leading re-export ports in the world. In 1966, oil was discovered in Dubai, which changed the country beyond recognition and led to Dubai becoming the vibrant, modern, business-centred city-state it is today.

Culture Of Dubai

The culture of Dubai, an emirate of the United Arab Emirates. Simultaneously, increasing globalisation and the settling of various immigrant groups have transformed the city into a melting pot of different nationalities and have given rise to a cosmopolitan culture that is in synch with other global cities. Five times every day, Muslims are called to prayer from the minarets of mosques which are scattered around the country. Since 2006, the weekend has been Friday-Saturday, as a compromise between Friday’s holiness to Muslims and the Western weekend of Saturday-Sunday. In 2005, 84% of the population of metropolitan Dubai was foreign-born, about half of them from India. The city’s cultural imprint as a small, ethnically homogenous pearling community was changed with the arrival of other ethnic groups and nationals—first by the Iranians in the early 1900s, and later by Indians and Pakistanis in the 1960s.

Night Clubs At Dubai

1) VIP Room Dubai
 2) Boudoir
 3) White Dubai-Best Club In Dubai
 4) Societe Dubai
 5) XL Dubai
 6) Chi At The Lodge NightClub Dubai
 7) Malecon
 8) Provocater Dubai
 9) The Music Room
 10) The Pulse
 11) Le Regina Dubai Super Club
 12) Embassy Dubai
 13) Dubai Marina Yatch Club
 14) People By Crystal

Welcome To Dubai – Places To Visit In Dubai Places to Visit […]

[1588,1587,1357
2121,1773,1774,2186,1359,2187,2188,2189,2190
post-173614","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-destination-info-en-ca","category-news-en-ca","category-u-a-eunited-arab-emirates-en-ca","tag-abu-dhabi-en-ca","tag-burj-khalifa-en-ca","tag-burj-al-arab-en-ca","tag-culture-of-dubai-en-ca","tag-dubai-en-ca","tag-history-of-dubai-en-ca","tag-night-clubs-at-dubai-en-ca","tag-places-to-visit-in-dubai-en-ca","tag-popular-destinations-at-dubai-en-ca
["GET
